I recently had the honour of speaking at a fantastic event hosted by Kingston University’s Design School and Fashion department. It was an incredible honor to share my story and the journey of Teresa Si Couture with such a creative and passionate audience of students. Their energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.
The session was an opportunity to dive deep into my experiences - reflecting on the challenges, triumphs, and lessons learned along the way. But what made it even more special was the level of engagement from the students. Their insightful questions and thoughtful discussions not only fueled my passion but also made me realise just how much potential this next generation of designers holds. There’s no doubt in my mind that they will shape the future of fashion in exciting ways.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Tony Lorenz during the event. Like Teresa Si Couture, Tony shares a deep belief in the importance of collaborating with Kingston University to offer valuable placement opportunities. These kinds of partnerships are so important for providing students with real-world experience and helping them bridge the gap between academia and industry. It’s a cause that’s close to my heart, and I’m thrilled to be part of a community that truly supports the growth of young talent.
Being a part of this event reaffirmed my belief in the power of education, collaboration, and the incredible potential of young creatives. I can’t wait to see what comes next for all the students I met, and I look forward to continuing to support and encourage the next generation of designers.
